fluXXion founded in 2003, is a Dutch clean technology company applying proven manufacturing technology from the semiconductor and micro system industries, to the design and manufacture of unique micro filtration and separation products for bulk liquid filtration markets and chemical separation markets. The basic technology was originally developed by Royal Philips Electronics in the Netherlands, for the manufacture of complex micro structured products.

A well-balanced team of industry veterans, who worked together for over ten years in related high technology fields, founded the Company in 2003 and expanded the company over the years. fluXXion is based on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, the Netherlands

The company has closed several contracts with leading industrial partners to develop, integrate and market the technology. Given the huge benefits of the fluXXion technology versus the traditional filtration and separation technologies, in the focal area’s dairy products processing and distillation applications, it is clear that the company has great potential to become an unique major technology provider in these markets. The first full scale filtration plant is in operation at a large cheese factory with an annual capacity of 40 000 tons. A demo-unit for a chemicals stripping unit will be built in the first half of 2010.

In 2008 fluXXion was the only Dutch company selected as Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum.
